Well, after last week I thought we would be done for.

But they sucked it up and got it done. Bully for the Hawks. And Hasselbeck 0WNZ j00. Recognize.

In other news, I might get fired from work. But I could give shit. The job is a goddamn joke right now. We constantly get dicked around, our boss won't stand up for us when he should and on and on and you all know the story blah blah blah.

So, here are my top 10 songs:

10. Nancy Sinatra - "Bang Bang (My Baby Shot Me Down)"
9. Ludacris featuring Chingy, I-20 and Tity Boi - "We Got"
8. Obie Trice - "Bad Bitch"
7. Clipse - "Pussy"
6. Pharoahe Monch - "Agent Orange"
5. Juelz Santana - "Santana's Town"
4. Obie Trice featuring Dr. Dre - "Shit Hits The Fan"
3. Korn - "Right Now"
2. Jay-Z - "99 Problems"
1. El-P - "Tuned Mass Damper"

and some NFL rumors and I'll holla at ya next time.

-Insiders say Saints RB Deuce McAllister is slowly becoming fed up with the lack of support he has been getting on both sides of the ball, but he has been biting his tongue to avoid creating any controversy in the locker room.

-Even though Eagles RB Duce Staley has improved significantly since the beginning of the season and is a vital part of the team’s rushing attack, it’s still a longshot that he will be re-signed at season’s end.

-With backup QB Josh McCown continuing to struggle every time he gets a chance to play, we hear it’s very possible the Cardinals’ No. 1 priority in the next draft will be a quarterback.

-Sources close to the Chargers believe it would be wise to get Drew Brees back into the starting lineup to provide a four-week evaluation that would help with their offseason decision-making process with the QB position.

-Expect the Dolphins to look at a couple veterans as well as young CBs Korey Banks and Alphonso Roundtree to fill the spot vacated by backup CB Jamar Fletcher (broken arm). Although Fletcher hadn’t done anything spectacular, his speed will not be easy to replace in the secondary.

-Don’t be surprised if the Bills shut down banged-up WR Eric Moulds and/or RB Travis Henry for the season in the near future, since Buffalo’s playoff hopes are long gone.

-The Patriots have been quite pleased with the fantastic play of DT Ted Washington since his return from a broken leg that kept him sidelined for six weeks.

-New England’s passing game has been efficient this season, but there have been elements of flash and dazzle at times (even with the injuries to the WR corps) — something that was missing last season. WR Deion Branch has become more of a downfield threat, and QB Tom Brady’s downfield accuracy seems to have improved. It helps, of course, that the coaching staff is allowing Brady to look down the field more frequently as well.

-The Jets have not commented, but New York state and city officials have said in reports that the two sides are closer to reaching an agreement on how to split the $1.5 billion cost of building a new stadium for the team on Manhattan’s West Side.

-Don’t be surprised if Seahawks DE Lamar King, who has been coming on of late, permanently replaces the banged-up Brandon Mitchell (calf) at left end in the starting lineup. We also hear second-year DE Anton Palepoi could be seeing a lot more playing time in the coming weeks.

-We hear the feeling within the Cardinals’ organization is that third-year pro Renaldo Hill has been the team’s best cornerback this season — better than free-agent-to-be David Barrett. A solid character guy, we hear Hill is considered a core player, although not necessarily a future starter.

-Word is the Cardinals are very happy with what they’ve seen from new PK Neil Rackers, and it’s looking more likely that the injured Bill Gramatica, a restricted free agent at the end of the season, might not be asked to return.

-Look for veteran DE Chidi Ahanotu, who offers some size to the Niners’ smallish defensive front, to see more action down the stretch with the Niners facing excellent running teams in each of their last four games.

-Saints WR Donté Stallworth is getting some ribbing from his teammates for missing time with ankle and quadriceps injury, but we’re told the coaching staff is growing increasingly frustrated with his unwillingness to play through pain.

-We hear the Bucs have been impressed with the poise shown by WR Charles Lee in taking over a bigger part of the offense.

-We’re told the Falcons could send QB Kurt Kittner packing after the season because his play has made it clear to the coaching staff and front office that he doesn’t quite have what it takes to be a dependable NFL backup.

-We hear the Panthers’ coaching staff isn’t concerned with the big fourth-quarter yardage the team has given up over the past month because they believe the fact the plays were made in the fourth quarter is a coincidence and it can’t be solved with any quick fix or adjustment.

-Don’t look for the Panthers to purposely get WR Muhsin Muhammad more involved in the offense because head coach John Fox doesn’t want QB Jake Delhomme worrying about having to get anyone in particular the ball.

-Redskins C Lennie Friedman has been an adequate replacement for starter Larry Moore, but sources close to the team say the biggest difference is size — Friedman is a natural guard who is 26 pounds lighter than Moore — which affects the power running game.

-Eagles LB Mark Simoneau is the team’s No. 2 placekicker behind David Akers. Insiders report that Simoneau, a high-school kicker, hit a 38-yard field goal in practice two weeks ago that would have been good from 48 yards.

-The Cowboys quietly are concerned about ORT Ryan Young’s progress and could shop for a new right tackle next season if he does not show improvement by season’s end or if backup ORTs Kurt Vollers or Torrin Tucker, who played most of the Thanksgiving game, do not show enough promise.

-Redskins WR Taylor Jacobs could soon pass Patrick Johnson on the depth chart. The team loves Jacobs’ work ethic and thinks he eventually could settle in as the team’s No. 3 receiver.

-The Bears are considering using LCB Jerry Azumah for a handful of plays on offense. Azumah, a college running back at New Hampshire who switched positions as a rookie, has very good speed and is elusive in the open field.

-Expect Bears rookie WR Justin Gage to emerge down the stretch. Gage has lit up practice at times and has the big-play ability No. 1 receiver Marty Booker, more of an underneath and intermediate receiver, is lacking. Gage has good size, speed and hands, but needs the experience if he is going to be a key contributor next season.

-The Lions are leaning toward not bringing rookie WR Charles Rogers back this season. Rogers, who broke his collarbone Oct. 7, was expected to return after eight weeks. The Lions believe the risk of bringing the lanky receiver back this season outweighs the potential reward of getting their No. 1 receiver more time with QB Joey Harrington.

-Lions CB Dre' Bly told teammates upon his arrival that he was out to prove he was deserving of the big payday he received from the Lions. Most teams saw Bly as a solid No. 2 cornerback who gambled a lot and lost those gambles too often. But Detroit considered Bly a veteran worthy of leading the team's young cornerbacks because of his playmaking skills.

-The Vikings plan to rotate players at every position on defense down the stretch. Coordinator George O'Leary is afraid his team has worn down, and will probably play 20 players with some regularity. He's mostly concerned about the DE spot, where Lance Johnstone and Talance Sawyer are getting more work.

-According to a pro scout, Jaguars S Donovin Darius runs hard but has been slow to react to the play. As a result, Darius, an unrestricted free agent at season’s end, is not playing well.

-Now back on the field following the after-effects of several concussions, Titans TE Frank Wycheck has made several impact plays. However, we hear that the veteran no longer will catch nine to 10 balls a game, as he did in the past.

-The Colts’ coaching staff really likes undrafted rookie free agent Aaron Moorehead. While not flight of foot, the 6-3, 200-pound wide receiver provides a big target to an offense that had featured smaller, quicker receivers like Marvin Harrison, Reggie Wayne and Troy Walters.

-With Jaguars CB Kiwaukee Thomas’ contract extension, CB Fernando Bryant, an unrestricted free agent at season’s end, can see the writing on the wall that his tenure with the Jaguars will soon come to an end.

-Entering Week 13, Bengals WR Chad Johnson had earned $55,000 in fines for a variety of offenses, such as uniform violations. While we hear head coach Marvin Lewis wouldn’t mind if Johnson stopped giving the league reasons to hit him in the checkbook, he understands that a little individuality isn’t so bad, either. Because Johnson is well liked by his teammates, and because his work ethic cannot be questioned, Johnson’s fines aren’t of much concern to the organization.

-LB Chaun Thompson and OL Chad Beasley are two Browns expected to see more playing time as the season winds down.

-Bengals CB Tory James, who has been one of Cincinnati’s best defensive players this season, was repeatedly beaten in coverage in Week 13 vs. Pittsburgh. Steelers WR Plaxico Burress particularly gave James trouble.

-Raiders veteran DE Trace Armstrong stopped short of calling it a career last week when talking about the right shoulder and right elbow injuries that will require surgery. Armstrong recently was placed on injured reserve for a torn labrum in his left shoulder, but it will take another week or more to determine whether it will need surgery. If it did, it would be the 16th of his career, and he has never finished any of his three seasons in Oakland.

-The Raiders have lost nine players to injured reserve in the last six weeks, and four of them, QB Rich Gannon, LB Bill Romanowski, DE Trace Armstrong and FS Rod Woodson, are 37 or older.

-The Raiders have shifted rookie CB Nnamdi Asomugha to safety after a knee injury ended Rod Woodson’s season. Asomugha played safety for his first three years in college at California before moving to corner prior to his senior year.

-Broncos head coach Mike Shanahan said last week that his team’s kickoff coverage and punting game “was probably as bad as it’s been since I’ve been here.” Special-teams coach Frank Bush said he wants to put more of an emphasis on playmaking and not just following responsibilities.

-The Broncos chose to prolong the tenuous situation with troubled DT Daryl Gardener by suspending him for two additional games for conduct detrimental to the team. Expect the Broncos to be stern when they revisit the situation prior to Week 15.
