I GOT A JOB PT. II

And this time, it's a good one!

The job at the discount grocery store went OK. Kinda boring, except when I had to bag up $180 - 230 worth of food & stuff. On Saturday, there was one family who bought over $323 worth of stuff. GAH.

It would have been an OK place to work, but they pay minimum wage and there's no union. It really sucks, 'cause there was this fiiiine black chick working as a checker. Man was she hot.

But it was kinda depressing to see people buy so much food when most of them are paying in food stamps. That, and I could have taken my break anytime, which I'm not used to. Most of the jobs I've worked I've had to let a manager know I was going on break, and if I didn't, oh man.

But one of the other managers said they have people walking out all the time, which is not cool. It sounds like my brother and his days at IHOP, and I wouldn't be able to handle that.

So Monday comes, and I head back to Express to do a few tests for office positions. After typing, MS Excel and MS Word I head on back to the consultant's office. We chat for a few, and then she asks me if I want to travel to Auburn (which is an hour and a half from where I live.)

"Uh...sure."

She lets me know that the GSA Federal Techology Service is hiring for basic auditing for their company. The pay? Ehhhh, around $17.40 an hour.

WOOOOO.

It starts May 10th, and lasts until July 13th. I'd have to be there by 8 a.m. and stay until 5, which means rush hour traffic both ways, and I'd have to carpool, but I have aunts & uncles that live over there, so maybe I can crash at their house and get out of it.

Still, this is righteous. Even if I don't get asked back, it'll give me some serious money to have until I find something permanent. Finally, things are looking up.

The paperwork I had to fill out was a pain in the ASS. My entire employment history, where I lived, even all the tickets I've had. I even had to get two sets of fingerprints (there goes my fallback career in burglary.)

My brother isn't having too much fun down in Hollywoodland. Apparently one of the producers is a real dick to him and almost fired him twice. Add that to the fact that his wife won't get a job and it's gonna be suckass when he gets back.

But he's gonna have to get a spine and lay the pimp hand down.

Now, for some QUICK LINKS~!:

-This is fishy.

-This rules it.

-The IMDB of video game sites.

-If you have 3D glasses, this site will be right up your alley.

-Hot fun in the summertime.

OK kids, I'm out. Enjoy the links, and I'll holla after Smackdown.
