HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO ME

.

Weird.

"And bingo, the bad date is history."

It was quite an interesting way to celebrate being 27 last Thursday.

I get up at 4 a.m. (yep, 4 a.m.) so I can get into work early and get out so I can have the rest of the day to celebrate. I get out of the house at 4:30, get into the car and it starts... then it dies.

I start it again. It dies.

Crap.

I get it to run, but every time I stop at the light, the damn thing dies. By the time I get to the junior college, I say "Fuck it," and turn around and go back home. I call everyone and let them know that I won't be in due to car trouble.

8 a.m. rolls around and I take it up to the mechanic who tells me his diagnostic guy is out for the day. He calls someone else, but they're on vacation, so it'll be until the afternoon at the earliest for him to get to my car.

I let slip that I'm over two hours late for work, but since I'm my "dad's boy," and he's good friends with the boss, he'll try to push it up to noon. Since there's not much I can do, I go home and I get to open one of my presents: NCAA Football 2005. Sweet.

All of a sudden, 9:30 rolls around and the mechanic calls: Car is done, come and get it.

$50 and a blown vaccum line later, I'm racing off to work. I get there at noon and put in some work but take off at four so I can have some sort of a birthday party.

Aside from NCAA 2005, I got the Black Hole, Mick Foley's Best Of DVD and a shirt that was too small. Not much, but hey, I like what I got.

Speaking of which, 2005~~~. Much thanks to Gates for the roster hookup. The passing game IS hard, but it is realistic (last year's was a bit arcade-y.) Still, more crowd involvement and a expanded playbook really makes for better gameplay. Madden is out this Wednesday and I cannot wait.

I also copped Hard Knocks, the first season of The Sopranos and No Mercy '01 over the weekend. Good shit one and all, although I will pay the WWE NOT to put Todd Grisham on ANY commentary from now till eternity 'till he gets some fucking knowledge about what he's talking about. Jesus, what a moron.

"No I'm not doin a bid/Too much to get/for what/cause six niggaz got stuck..."

The naked ladies are here and here.

That's about it. Leave me some belated birthday wishes and I'll be back soon. Peace.
