HAPPY HALF-OFF VALENTINE CANDY EVE

Wow, another post after a long abscence. Whoda thunk it?

But here's the lowdown from my neck of the woods:

-My mom recently had a hysterectomy to take care of some tumors and to make sure it didn't turn into cancer. Thank God she came through it OK, as we were kinda worried it would turn into cancer (her mom died from it and two of her sisters had the same surgery.)

She spent about three days in the hospital before they cut her loose. Now we're all helping her out, since she can't do anything strenuous for at least 6-8 weeks.

What's been really nice is that all of her friends and family have visited or sent flowers/cards. It's good to see that people care.

-I got back with the temp agency and they sent me to Sage Manufacturing up in Bainbridge to help them fix over 6,000 fly fishing reels. Yes, fishing reels. Tremendously exciting.

I've also been stringing for the KCJ as well. The good news is that the person who I was filling for is leaving to be with her kids, so I could get that job as soon as next week (she's staying for the state wrestling tournament.) The bad news is there are two other people who are in the running as well. They're former employees who took voluntary layoffs and apparently by union rules, they get the job offer first.

I think my editor is going to have a clerk position down at South County, so if the one up north doesn't pan out, I could still be in the running.

-Those WM ads rule.

-Go Sonics!

-That's it for me. Until next time,

keep flyin' like an eagle. Doo doo doo doo.

Holla.
