IT'S FANTASY FOOTBALL TIME!

The first of three fantasy drafts that I am involved in saw some of the craziest picks made since I've been playing.

-Tom Brady and the NE defense go 11-12.
-Someone actually took Jeff Freakin' George.
-The above is not a typo.

But I made my own wacky draft picks at number five (blah), so enjoy the recap:

Round 1 (5): Willis McGahee, RB - Buffalo.

Rob laughs at this pick, but he took DeShaun Foster *laughs*. Many fantasy experts feel he's going to have a breakout year this year and I agree.

Round 2 (16): Julius Jones, RB - Dallas

He was a great pickup late last year (especially during MNF against the Hawks :`( and he should be the man again this year. Unfortunately, both of them have the same bye week, so I needed someone to fill in.

Round 3 (25): Clinton Portis, RB - Washington

He'll do. :)

Round 4 (36): Anquan Boldin, WR - Arizona

Message to Mr. Warner: You have around you an offense that has the potential to rival your old team's glory years. If you blow it, it's on you dog.

Round 5 (45): Ben Roethlisberger, QB - Pittsburgh

I join with Steeler fans everywhere in prayer that he does not suffer from the sophomore slump.

Round 6 (56): Kerry Collins, QB - Oakland

I also join with Raider fans everywhere as we commit numerous sacrifices to the altar of Satan that Collins will not suck with Moss & Porter on his team.

Round 7 (65): Jason Witten, TE - Dallas

A fine player.

Round 8 (76): Mike Williams, WR - Detroit

He'll probably play well for the first few weeks, then get hurt and have to sit for the rest of the season, but I'll take it.

Round 9 (85): Adam Vinateri, K - New England

If you pass over him, yer CRAZY.

Round 10 (96): Sebastian Janikowski, K - Oakland

He may not be the sharpest knife in the drawer, but he doesn't get penalized for that in fantasy land.

Round 11 (105): Plaxico Burress, WR - N.Y. Giants

Solid guy. No real beef with him either way.

Round 12 (116): Tampa Bay, DEF

Meh. They have Derrick Brooks, but that's about it.

Round 13 (125): Heath Miller, TE - Pittsburgh

He could be a sleeper pick out of the tight end group.

Round 14 (136): Seattle, DEF

IF our signings pay off, then it's a steal. If not... it'll be another long season in more ways than one.

Round 15 (145): Billy Volek, QB - Tennessee

Mr. Spaulding once said in his fabulous Stratusfaction wrap-ups, "Billy Volek? Who IN THE BLUEST OF BLUE HELLS IS BILLY VOLEK??" After last year, he's now known as the guy who can fill in if McNair goes down. One of the main guys I rode to the Thread aPa championship game - where he promptly tanked it and I took a major league asswhipping from Ska. I still have nightmares from that. :(

Round 16 (156): Braylon Edwards, WR - Cleveland

But who will get him the ball?

Round 17 (165): Ricky Williams, RB - Miami

At least I can get free weed from him. :)

I'll be back with recaps from the other two drafts and maybe some other news. Until then, stay safe.
